Files that find their own way to air

Loading, converting, syncing, FTP transfers and clean-up – in the background, triggered by new files or on a schedule. Set it up right once and it runs the same way every day, leaving your team more time for the show.

A gold, blue and purple pipeline of gear-shaped nodes, data packets flowing along it, small figures tuning it

Sound familiar?

  • “Every hour, someone has to rename, convert and drag the latest news file into place.
  • “The partner’s show is sitting on their FTP server, and it’s on you to fetch it again today.
  • “The disk filled up because nobody cleared out the old recordings and logs.

01

Loader: files that put themselves in place

Your newsroom just saves the audio under the agreed name. Loader recognizes it by pattern, converts it with FFmpeg, renames it and drops it into the target folder before it’s due on air. The original can be archived too.

  • Format and sample-rate conversion, e.g. MP3 → WAV
  • Renaming by regex pattern, even from dates
  • Skips locked and already processed files

Folders and filenames that follow the clock

Anything inside $( ) is evaluated on every run. Watch the current month’s folder, pick up only today’s news files, or shift the time window so the next hour’s bulletin is looked for from a set minute onwards.

  • Works in source, target and pattern fields
  • Swaps in hourly news and daily show parts
  • Typo-tolerant patterns: - and _ both match
# This month’s folder and today’s news files
D:\Felvételek\$( (Get-Date).ToString('yyyy-MM') )
^$( (Get-Date).ToString('yyyyMMdd') )[_-]hirek\..+$
  • Syncer: folders kept in sync

Copy, move or fully mirror between editorial and playout folders. Only new and changed files go across, and the folder structure stays intact.

  • Remote: in touch with partners’ FTP servers

Download from a partner’s FTP, upload to theirs, or transfer between two FTP servers. Files already at the destination, unchanged, aren’t sent again.

  • Purger: storage that stays tidy

Deletes logs, recordings and archive files older than your retention period, filtered by pattern, along with emptied subfolders. Quietly, on schedule.

  • Export: scheduled reports with an AI summary

Daily HTML playlists, a weekly incident report and a programme-mix statistics PDF. For the latter, AI writes a summary of what to check – the call is yours.

How it works

From save to air

  1. 1The editor saves the finished audio under the agreed name
  2. 2The service spots the new file in the watched folder
  3. 3The pattern identifies it; locked or finished files are skipped
  4. 4Converted and renamed as configured
  5. 5Into the target folder, with the original archived
  6. 6Every run logged, errors flagged on Telegram

If something stalls, you’ll know

Set up tasks in your browser from anywhere; a background service runs them. Every run is logged, and errors can trigger a Telegram message – even when nobody’s at the station.

Frequently asked questions

A file arrived but nothing happened – why?

Usually the filename doesn’t match the pattern, another program still has it locked, or it arrived outside the allowed time window. In that case it isn’t lost – it’s processed at the next allowed time.

Do I need to know FFmpeg to convert files?

Not for the common cases. With no parameters the file is simply copied, and our support team helps you set up typical conversion settings during installation.

Is an updated file processed again if it’s re-uploaded?

Yes. Tracking checks file size and modification date as well as the path, so a changed file counts as new and goes through again.
